Joe Edge
Joe Edge is the owner of the Tax Shoppe as well as a veteran of the US Navy where his experience in finance and financial reporting began in 1976. Joe moved to Port St Lucie in 1990 where the Tax Shoppe was born soon thereafter. Joe’s vision in opening the Tax Shoppe was to provide affordable services to local residents and business owners and develop those relationships as the business has grown over the years.
Richard Edge
Richard Edge is Joe’s brother and has been a professional tax preparer at the Tax Shoppe since 2007 specializing in local small businesses as well as construction related businesses. Richard was a building contractor here in the Treasure Coast since the mid 70s. Richard also has extensive experience in Foreign Income Exclusion with our clients in Kuwait and the Middle East.
Bill Donovan
Bill Donovan has been working at the Tax Shoppe for many years now on a part time basis and is now our full time Office Manager specializing in bookkeeping and payroll processing. Bill’s focus is on customer service ensuring the clients needs are met at the earliest possible convenience.
Jamie Rodas
Jamie Rodas recently joined the Tax Shoppe and is also a student at IRSC focusing on an accounting degree program. Jamie assists with all bookkeeping and payroll services as well as customer service needs of our clients.
Maria Edge
Maria Edge recently married Joe Edge and works at the Tax Shoppe during tax season and provides customer service to our clients making appointments, collecting payments and seeing to the needs of the clients after services have been provided.
Vito Recchia
Vito Recchia is one of our professional tax preparer at The Tax Shoppe located in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. As one of three tax preparers in our office, Vito strives to provide excellent service to all his clients and maintains continuous research habits to be as knowledgeable in new tax laws year after year. Outside of the office, Vito is also a firefighter in palm beach county serving his local community to the best of his abilities. Whether in or out of the office, you are sure to get exceptional service.
Cassie Connor
Hey guys! My name is Cassie. I am currently enrolled at Indian River State College and getting my bachelor’s in business. I just started working at The Tax Shoppe and very happy to be a part of the team. It is very exciting being able to apply what I am learning in school to the real world. I am the first big smile you’ll see when you come in. Cannot wait to see you soon!
Cathy Schmitt
Hey, I’m Cathy. I’ve been working at The Tax Shoppe for a little over a year. I have been married almost 19 years and have 2 great sons.My husband works for a major airline and is a retired from PSLPD after 16 1/2 years. I am usually the person you see when you walk in.I do everything from make appointments, helping Bill with payroll, and Jamie with bookkeeping. I love my work family!
Nick Creary
We welcome Nick Creary to our staff at The Tax Shoppe – a First Responder and US Navy Chief. Nick is married and lives here in Port St Lucie.
